Why: A fun and exciting way to meet several of our English Language Arts, Math, and Social Studies Curriculum Competency Goals
When:December 1, 2016
Itinerary: Depart EWMS at 7:15 AM, Lunch and show at 11:30 AM, Arrive back at EWM at 5:30 PM.
Estimated Cost: $ 70.00

Holocaust Museum, The Mint, & Monuments (Washington DC)
Why: A fun and exciting way to meet several of our English Language Arts, Science, Math, and Social Studies Curriculum Competency Goals
When: March 23, 2017
Proposed Itinerary: The bus will leave EWMS at 4:30 AM and return at 10:30 PM.
4:30 Depart EWM promptly
6:15 Stop for breakfast (McDonalds)
10:00 Bus Drop off at United States Holocaust Memorial Museum
11:00 Bureau of Engraving and Printing
12:30 Lunch (FDA Cafeteria)
1:30 - 3:15 Explore National Museum of American History
3:30 Bus Pick up & Drop off at Lincoln Memorial (Explore Memorial sites)
4:30 Bus pick up Depart for EWM
6:30 Stop for Dinner (Ashland VA McDonald's)
10:30 Return to EWMS
Estimated Cost: $ 60.00 (Students will need additional money for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and souvenirs.)
Do’s and Don’ts
- Be on time. Remember we are on a schedule.
- Have your shirt tucked in
- Use your manners at all times.
- When you talk keep the volume down.
- Stay with your chaperone and group at all times.
- Wear sensible walking shoes
- Wear short skirts, shorts, sleepwear, or hats.
- Sag or wear an oversized hoddie or coat.
- Use foul language
- Eat or drink on the bus
- Have any illegal substances
- Wander away from your chaperone or group
Remember: We are all representing EWM…school rules and the dress code both apply.
Please turn in your money and permission slip to Mrs. Boyette as soon as possible. Space is limited. You must return the WCPS Permission Form along with your field trip money.
